Texas Level II - Security Officer Course
This program will teach candidates with little or no previous security experience the basic principals of the security industry, utilizing the State of Texas required materials. This course provides the Level II training and certification that is required by the State of Texas - DPS. Once complete, you will be provided with the basic certification (on approved by the State) to be able to work legally as an unarmed security officer in the State of Texas.
Cost: $45.00 (4 hours)

- May 30, 2010 from 10am-2pm
OC Spray, Baton Certification and Tactical Handcuffing
This program will give the candidate a thorough understanding of how pepper sprays work on an assailant, the legalities associated with their use, and how to deploy pepper spray quickly and effectively. You will learn how to use unarmed self defense skills to gain the time necessary to use the sprays. And you will even get to practice those defenses and spray an attacker with inert spray during simulated confrontations.
You will also gain confidence in the use of the ASP or any baton-type impact weapon. You will learn to form the weapon into an extension of your body, and use it safely and effectively. You will be able to perform all techniques full force on striking bags. We will teach you threat assessment and verbal commands. We will also discuss the use-of-force continuum and laws concerning the use of batons.
Finally, this course also includes subject control, handcuffing and searching. Also addressed is equipment placement and familiarity. Focused from an officer’s point of view and addressing the training needs in defensive tactics;
Cost: $45.00 (8 hours)
